In 2007 The General Assembly proclaimed 20 February as World Day of Social Justice. It falls in line with the United Nations global mission to promote development and human dignity. Last year’s theme concentrated on preventing conflict and sustaining peace. The Declaration on Social justice for a Fair Globalization, adopted by the International Labour Organization, affirms the positive impact of this global acknowledgment as it focuses on guaranteeing fair outcomes for all through employment, social protection, social dialogue, and fundamental principles and rights at work. Walkgrove supports the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact with respect to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and has registered its support and intent as a participant of the Global Compact.
