Microlearning

With an ever increasing amount of information being consumed in a fast pace, hectic world, it’s hard to find the time to learn new skills to help us improve our workplace performance. In fact, 1the average employee only devotes 1% of their time to personal development - that means only 24 minutes a week or 4.8 minutes per day.

That one percent of time is valuable and needs to be spent wisely – on training that can provide accessible, interactive and effective content in a short amount of time.

Squaring the compliance circle

The most significant challenge with compliance training is lack of learner engagement.

For most learners, the subject matter is perceived as ‘dry’ and the annual refresher is considered to be a tick-box exercise; something we just have to do. Therefore, the objective for most learners is to get through it as quickly as they possibly can, answer a few relatively simple or obvious questions, and then get on with some ‘real’ work. Unfortunately, most compliance e-learning is so poorly designed that it allows this to happen.
