I had begun my Social Media and Digital Marketing apprenticeship at a Design Agency, but soon found myself redundant since my post no longer fitted their new business plan. Being employed by Walkgrove was my first step into the e-learning industry, which prior to joining I hadn’t thought was particularly large nor had much going for it!
Let’s be honest here – however we dress them up, most of the questions used in e-learning courses are just variations on the multiple choice.

‘Engaging learning’ has to be one of the most often repeated phrases in the world of e-learning! Every RFP, tender and requirements document contains it almost as a pre-requisite of the e-learning solution. And while a solution that draws people in and makes things interesting and absorbing is certainly far more effective than the old ‘Click Next’ a million times, we tend to ignore two critical drivers that ‘engage’ us with learning – motivation and curiosity.
