Why use microlearning?

At Walkgrove, we’re often asked, ‘What is microlearning and why should we use it?’ The truth is, microlearning offers a plethora of benefits and can be integrated seamlessly into a training plan. Walkgrove’s ‘Take 5’ microlearning modules are short and high impact. ‘Take 5’ microlearning modules are tailored to offer learners rapid knowledge gain; particularly helpful for busy learners who are short on training time in their working day or who have an urgent training need. Short, sharp and to-the-point, each topic focuses the learner’s attention on the learning objective.

Squaring the compliance circle

The most significant challenge with compliance training is lack of learner engagement.

For most learners, the subject matter is perceived as ‘dry’ and the annual refresher is considered to be a tick-box exercise; something we just have to do. Therefore, the objective for most learners is to get through it as quickly as they possibly can, answer a few relatively simple or obvious questions, and then get on with some ‘real’ work. Unfortunately, most compliance e-learning is so poorly designed that it allows this to happen.
